My account reflects an amount of R5000, and I cannot buy electricity, what is the explanation for this?

The account has been blocked by the Owner or by the Trustees of the scheme.

The owner has the ability to block an account if the tenant is in arrears with their rental. Trustees have the ability to block an account if the owner is in arrears with their levy.

STss does not block accounts for vending but this is a mandate that comes from the Owner or Trustees. Please contact the Owner of the unit or the Trustees to resolve the matter.
