The screen on my wall-mounted meter is blank and I have no electricity

The screen goes off completely if there is no electricity supply to the meter.

  1. Check if the complex has power - ask the Security Team
    1. If the complex has power the power to your block or your unit may have tripped
  2. Check if your block has power - ask your neighbours
    1. If your neighbours have power, the power to your unit may have tripped.
  3. Check if that mains switch on your Distribution Board (DB) has not tripped
    1. If the switch has tripped (the switch is down) switch it back on. On some DBs, you need to push the switch down before you can put it up again.
  4. If the power is still not on, the DB outside your unit may have tripped. Asked the Security Team / Estate Manager for assistance accessing this DB and switching it back on.
